Hello, {{ Fname | reader }}!

👋 It’s 8:01 on Friday Morning! 👋

It’s a chilly, grey one in Chislehurst, but spring is quietly breaking through, daffodils, magnolias and all, and this week’s 8:01 has ideas for cosy dinners in town, local Easter fun, community campaigns, club sign‑ups, looming tube strikes and a fond farewell to a much‑loved coffee shop.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you enjoy!

We have definitely witnessed false spring, as this week has been grey and cold. But despite the weather, signs of spring are here. There are plenty of daffodils out and magnolia trees are in full blossom. Those that suffer from tree pollen will no doubt have noticed. With the days getting longer, it’s also a good time to sort out your garden and get things into shape as BBQ season is only just around the corner.

If you’re after a Fancy Dinner In Town…

Los Mochis

The weather has regressed this week and we’ve gone back to grey skies and cold temperatures, so if you’re looking to espace our current climes without leaving London, a few hours spent in Los Moches will do the trick. A fusion of Mexico and Japan, Los Mochis servers up a wonderful menu full flavour and spice that will make you gorget that bitterly cold wind. When the weather does improve, they also have a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the city skyline.
