Councillor Mike Jack of Chislehurst Matters shared images from the groundbreaking at Glebe Football where a £1.3m upgrade is kicking off. Where a new pitch and 350 capacity stand should be completed by late June.

It’s fantastic to see this level of investment in local amenities and it should provide additional benefits to many in Chislehurst for many years to come.

The local property market is still pretty flat, according to recent data from property website Zoopla, house prices in the borough continue to rise, with a 1.1% increase compared to January last year. The average house price in Bromley is now £514,100.

While prices are still growing, Bromley's property market is currently performing slightly below the London average. However, Bromley remains a desirable location with house prices nearly double the UK average.

The sales market in Bromley is currently slower than usual, with homes taking around 46 days to go under offer, compared to a typical 39 days. Overall, buyer demand in London is currently average, and there is a good selection of properties available on the market.

There are only seven houses on Cricket Ground Road, so the sale of a five-bedroom detached home will interest many house hunters.
