Well the hosepipe ban is finally here. In fact it’s honestly a surprise that our favourite water company, Thames Water, hasn’t made this call before now. I genuinely can’t think when it last rained. The plants in the garden have coped well with this hot and dry summer so far, although the new micro-pond has not fared as well at all.
Along with the hosepipe ban, the school holidays are here. The train car park was notably much, much quieter on Wednesday morning, although the train itself was still pretty busy, with many still having to stand.

IF YOU’RE AFTER SOME HIGH DINNING
This week I was fortunate enough to take a client to lunch at Gordon Ramsey’s new restaurant, Lucky Cat, located on the 60th floor of 22 Bishopsgate. This makes it the tallest restaurant in Europe, and the views were amazing. We opted for the ‘Signature’ sharing menu, which was excellent, as was the Albariño. And whilst the food was amazing so were the views. Being able to see the runway at City Airport over the docklands wasn’t something I was expecting!
It’s certainly not the cheapest dining experience, but if you’re looking for a special occasion, then this ticks many boxes.

RUN CLUB
Zander has recently started a run club meeting at The Bull’s Head on Monday’s at 7:00 pm. With enough interest there are two groups running 5k at a pace of either 6:30/km or 7:00/km

TRAIN DIVERSIONS
We’ve mentioned it a few times now, but with the weekend coming up, don’t forget that no trains are running to Charing Cross or Waterloo East from Sunday Jul-26 until Aug-16.
👂 HEARD ON THE PLATFORM
A group of ladies met up at the Cricket Club yesterday to form the very beginning of a Chislehurst Ladies cricket team. As this is literally the first time they met, they are still looking to attract many more women. You don’t need to have played before, but if you have some ability to throw, catch and whack a ball, you’ll be welcomed.
The next meeting will be on Thursday 6th August
