Hi Everyone, I hope it’s been a good week for you all. There was lots of fun had last week with local children asking the question, Trick or Treat dressed in some fabulous costumes. I think my favourite might have been a blow up corgi.
And we’ve also had bonfire night on Wednesday but I suspect there’ll be more shows tomorrow night. Rember, never pick up a sparkler after it’s burnt out.

🏘️ In Chislehurst… 🏘️
🍃🍃🍃 If you have spare time and would like to help the Friends of Chislehurst Recreation Ground, they are hosting an event on 11th November at Walden Rec.
They plan to improve the wet woodland by removing holly saplings on stream banks, clearing the stream and by building dead hedges.
Meeting at 10am - midday, everyone welcome, just turn up (preferably bring gardening gloves and wear waterproof footwear!)

Our train system often proves itself to be a fragile beast and at this time of year, “leaves on the line” is an often used excuse for delays. But we must be missing the leaves. Timetables are often adjusted to accomodate slower journeys as a consequence, and I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but certainly on my journey’s in to town, we’ve been sitting at each station waiting for the departure time actually ahead of schedule! Who knew we could actually have an efficient train system.
